Our windows have been a feature on Rochester High Street for the best part of two decades. During that time we've tried our best to capture the imagination of locals and visitors alike with our window displays.
With themes ranging from the The Great Gatsby to the London Tweed Run, we try to tell a story about the quirky contents of our shop and how they have been involved in the lives of their former owners.
During the period of Remembrance, we install a thought-provoking exhibition window with the aid of friends, local customers and military experts to commemorate the First and Second World Wars. This window helps us to raise money to support the work of the Royal British Legion, one of our three chosen charities.
'Christmas at Fieldstaffs' is a summer installation, in collaboration with students at the University for the Creative Arts: Rochester. Organised by Richard Ashley Parson as a quirky short-term exhibition of styling and visual merchandising design; part of the course work for Fashion Promotion students.
With thanks to our friends who have lent us objects for the window and helped put it together. UCA Rochester for setting the project, Chatham Royal Marine Cadets for the loan of some brilliant items, and Fieldstaff Antiques for the beyond-generous use of their windows! - Richard
