A Date for your Diary!

Having had a slow launch over the last couple of months, we've got a bit more organised and the time has come to officially launch the Friends of The Guildhall Museums.

This is going to happen on Saturday 6th September from 10 till 12 at the Guildhall Museum in Rochester.

It will coincide with the unveiling of a fantastic painting 'Livebait, the 7th Cruiser Squadron at Chatham, 1914' that has been commissioned by the Museum from local artist Kevin Clarkson.

The Mayor will be unveiling the painting at 10.15 and there'll be lots of other stuff going on, including a display by members of the Medway archaeological society from the Old Brook Pumping Station, and a sign-writers convention with activities beneath the museum colonnade.

So why not come along and get a taste of the museums treasures... we'll be there!
